Dr. Wen-Chen Yeh brings more than 21 years of research and development experience to his role as Chief Scientific Officer. Most recently, Dr. Yeh was a Scientific Executive Director at Amgen, where he led research teams in a variety of disease indications including inflammation, diabetes, dyslipidemia and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Yeh helped advance eight small and large molecule programs towards clinical trials. He also spearheaded innovative approaches for target discovery and helped establish large-animal models for several diseases including diabetes, dyslipidemia and heart failure. Dr. Yeh was instrumental in establishing and leading Amgen’s cardiovascular discovery research group. Prior to Amgen, Dr. Yeh led a highly successful research lab at the University of Toronto and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the same institution after receiving his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University. He previously was a resident in internal medicine at Mackay Memorial Hospital in Taipei and completed his medical internship at the National Taiwan University Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan.
